HPI PRO3 HARA'S new ride

HPI's designers gave the RS4 Pro 3 all-new suspension geometry that delivers improved handling, with simple setup options. The central battery mounting position and near-perfect weight distribution gives the RS4 Pro 3 a smooth transition between on- and off-throttle steering. The all-new layout delivers higher corner speeds & quicker changes of direction.

The new composite chassis keeps the suspension geometry exactly as the designers intended, ensuring the purest driving feel & clear feedback from the subtlest of setup changes. Reduced radio interference, improved dampening, reduced parts count and lower prices are additional benefits of the composite chassis.

Lightweight composite, true bore, super low friction threaded shocks maximize wheel control under all conditions. They also lower overall car weight & center of gravity significantly. Graphite composite diffs and new short CVD’s are standard, providing a significant reduction in rotating mass over the Pro 2. Faster throttle response and improved efficiency are welcome benefits.

LOSI SB3 Prototype Street weapon part 2?

Recently Team Losi has decided to re-enter the Touring Car market with an all new, 1 belt design. Note that a 1 belt drive train reduces friction and allows efficent transfer of power to all wheels! However Team Losi says the car won't be available to us until spring 2001. This prototype 1/10 scale chassis is Team Losi's second chassis following the Street Weapon. The car was not able to place in the A-main during the recent IFMAR ISTC worlds but it made the B-main being driven by Jukka Stennari. Despite Team Losi losing two of its top drivers (Spashett and Cyrul) the new car made a good showing nevertheless. Check out more at TEAM LOSI.

TAMIYA TB01 EVO new TC from Tamiya

The long awaited TB-01 Evo from TAMIYA has arrived. This is perhaps the highest performance kit availible in Tamiya's catalog along with the 414x. This 4WD carbon-fibre decked car is equiped with a full set of Tamiya Ball Bearings, and a ball diff in the front and back gear boxes. The kit includes only the chassis, and wheels, and nothing else. One great item included in the kit is a finned aluminum heat sink. The car is using the shaft insted of the belt design found in most high performance TC's and found in Tamiya's early r/c kits. A TC3 clone? Not really, but many loyal Tamiya fans are glad to see the new focus of the company on the competition kits. Can this be the next IFMAR ISTC world champ kit?

TC3 NITRO Prototype

This could be the next big thing from the boys that brought you the TC3. Check out this early version of what should be the car to really propel the Nitro touring class into another level of popularity. The car features super low CG, two speed tranny, enclosed electronics and the same TC3 suspension geometry that has been voted Most Popular TC of 2000. When will this kit be available? Well, we know that ASSOCIATED only releses kits when they are satisfied with all of the details (the TC3 was over a year late) but the results are always worth the wait. Associated is not new to nitro racing. They pioneered the market with the RC 500 kit and later their nitro truck line. TC3 NITRO!!!
