2001 ROAR OFF ROAD STOCK NATIONALS

Team Losi Cars Sweep

5 Top Qualifiers - 5 Wins!

Team Losi cars and trucks continued their unprecedented domination of off-road racing by top qualifying and winning every class at the 2001 ROAR Stock Nationals. With a full field of privateer (non-sponsored) drivers from all over the United States, the ROAR Stock Nationals is undoubtedly the best representation of the average weekly racer. Regardless of where they were from the common denominator was the overwhelming choice of Team Losi’s XXX, XXX-T, and XX-4 racing vehicles. In the Stock Class Jason LaDow from Cincinnati, Ohio outpaced the field for the top qualifying spot. Jason then led a XXX freight train to take the win that saw 9 of the 10 A-Main finalists choose the Team Losi XXX buggy. The stock A-Main saw drivers from Ohio, New York, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania all use the XXX in their quest for the coveted title.

The Stock Truck class was all Team Losi as every A-Main finalist choose the XXX-T. Stow, Ohio’s Eric Clark used his top qualifying spot to race his way into the record books, winning the Stock Truck National Championship. Drivers representing the states listed above as well as North Carolina and New Mexico made this a truly “national” field.

The 4WD class saw Tony Hines take the TQ spot and Middleton, NY driver Jonathon Noon take the win over a field that saw 9 of the 10 A-Main drivers using the Team Losi XX-4. Jonathon’s win is exceptionally remarkable since he raced to the win from the eighth starting spot, which is virtually unheard of!

Young Drew Loftus from Carmel, In. led a field of juniors that saw all but one finalist driving the Team Losi XXX buggy. The Masters (over 45) class was more of the same as Torrey Hadley from Sumner, Wa. led another 1-2-3 sweep for the XXX-T.
